I'm writing this review after living with a Louvretec roof for approximately 4 years since it was installed. It's brilliant. Works perfectly (hot or cold weather), closes the minute the rain starts, looks fantastic and is of the highest quality. Extended our living space outdoors, and provides shelter sun, rain or wind. The Louvretec [Melbourne] team were extraordinary to work with, from sales, through planning + permits, through construction. Attention to detail throughout, we were kept informed the whole way, the builders actually cleaned up every day (when does that happen?) and I cannot recommend Louvretec more highly. Yes, they cost more than the rest, however, you get what you pay for and the peace of mind and satisfaction was worth every extra dollar. We're selling the place now, and I'll be having a Louvretec roof installed at our new home, without the slightest hesitation.

It has been 2 years since we replaced a Pergola on our outdoor deck with substantial Louvretec systems consisting of a Louvred Roof , 3 x Sliding Louvred Doors that open out to further decking with an outdoor table setting, 6 x Top Hung Louvred Plantation Shutters and 2 x Clear PVC Outdoor Blinds. We look through to this Outdoor Room from our family room & kitchen. We love how the louvre shutters, my palm trees and colourful cushions give us a sense of being on holiday in Bali. Our family room opens onto this outdoor room with Opening Roofs. The opening/closing roofs provide comfort of staying dry in wet weather or shady and cool if we choose on a sunny day. I was initially concerned about loss of natural light but what it has infact done is give me control with how much sun or shade I want with the touch of a button. It’s an addition we have no hesitation in saying has been the BEST MONEY WE HAVE SPENT ON OUR HOME since building 16 years ago and an investment that we benefit from every day and are so pleased we did. We would happily recommend both the Louvretec system and their installation and are already planning to use it on a future build. - M & A

"Our deck was unusable for much of the year as it is exposed to the full strength of the predominant cold, southwest wind and on sunny days it became too hot to be outside. We were concerned that a wide roof over the deck would shade the living room too much. Our new Louvretec roof resolved that issue, providing the shade in the summer and opening to let the sun into the living room in the winter. And it looks great too. The standard solution for the wind problem, café blinds, would have distorted the magnificent view, so not ideal. Louvretec’s frameless glass sliders make the deck enjoyable, even on breezy winter days. The glass is not noticeable, and the view of the bush and the sheep on the hills is undistorted.
